17th Annual Wag ‘N’ Walk May 5

Coming up this Saturday, May 5, 2012, in Monterey: the 17th Annual Wag 'n' Walk, a day of fun for people (and dogs, if they're so inclined), to raise funds for the SPCA for Monterey County, which has been helping the county's critters since 1905. Enjoy food, fun activities, and a healthy 2- or 4-mile walk, to help the SPCA's ongoing work, which benefits not only dogs and cats, but farm animals and wildlife, and includes programs from Meals on Wheels to disaster relief as the need arises.   Among the cuties currently residing at the SPCA while waiting for a new home is little Eve, who turned up wandering the streets of Seaside and is very happy to be in a safer place. This affectionate 5-month-old border terrier mix girl has lots of personality; being a smart puppy, she's going to need some training so she grows up to be a great companion and family member. Find out more about her here. Photo: Eve—SPCA for Monterey County
