The DogTrekker.com staff and 4-paw ambassadors Layah and Kayla, were on hand to greet the hundreds of attendees at the 15th Anniversary of the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society’s Bay to Barkers event this past Sunday. Nearly $20,000 was raised for the BEBHS during the four hour program.

Dog Day On The Bay

Ahoy! Put a sailor hat on your four legged friend and head out to the 8th annual Dog Day On The Bay this Sunday, July 22 nd. Join DogTrekker on Hornblower's ship, The San Francisco Belle, to support the San Francisco SPCA Puppy Dog Tales Reading Program. Spend the day cruising around San Francisco Bay with your pup and friends while enjoying a champagne brunch, raffle and live entertainment on board. Registration starts at 10 am, boat departs at 11 am and returns to the dock at 1 pm.

GGNRA Delays Dog Decision

Two weeks ago officials for The Golden Gate National Recreation Area announced plans to delay their decision regarding a new dog policy in the national parks. At stake is whether dogs will be allowed on 21 sites of about 14,000 acres of parkland, and with how much freedom. 

15th Anniversary Bay to Barkers

Join the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society (BEBHS) this Sunday for the 15th annual Bay to Barkers dog walk and festival! This fundraising event raises money to support the much-needed animal welfare services at the BEBHS’ Berkeley shelter. The afternoon includes a one-mile dog walk along the bay, a lead dog contest, and craft activities for two-legged and four-legged kids, plus lunch for registered participants.

Bark In The Park and Pooch Promenade

Let your furry friend frolic around the Sonoma Plaza this Saturday July 28th at Bark in The Park and Pooch Promenade celebrating Pet’s Lifeline’s 30th anniversary. Start your morning off in Depot Park and from there parade around the historic downtown plaza to end up in front of City Hall where Ben Flajnik of ABC’s “The Bachelor” will be waiting, among other celebrity judges.
