Marin County voters yesterday approved Measure A, which will raise more than $10 million a year for parks and open space programs. The measure needed a two-thirds vote to pass, yet received 74% of the vote. Animals Rescued in Oregon

Last month in Oregon a ranch was a raided and over 150 animals were rescued in varying stages of neglect. Now, we know that Oregon is out of DogTrekker’s usual roaming area but we felt we had to tell this story in hopes of preventing anything like it from happening here, or anywhere again.

DogTrekker Says Vote Yes on Measure A

Last week’s DogTrekker newsletter and this week’s home page celebrated the wonderful access we and our furry friends have to open space in and around Marin County. Now 40 years old, Marin County Parks and Open Space are showing some wear and tear. DogTrekker votes Yes! on Measure A, which  the Marin County Supervisors placed on the November 6th ballot to address this issue after an extensive public process.

DogTrekker Celebrated at MiloFest

DogTrekker was on hand Friday October 19th to celebrate MiloFest 2012, and celebrate we did. The evening sold out and 275 guests, some with four-legs bid on silent and live auction items to help benefit The Milo Foundation and outfit their new home in Point Richmond. The evening was held at the Mill Valley Community Center with food provided by Fish, music by Kraft & Company and table decorations by Bloomers of Larkspur.
