Water Bark at Spring Lake Park Swimming Lagoon returns!
On September 18-19 and September 24-25, Sonoma County Regional Parks will be opening the lagoon to well-behaved dogs to swim in the lagoon and romp on the beach! So bring along your best buddy's favorite water toys and get ready to make a big splash!
Dog owners can purchase professional photos of their dogs in action. Award-winning local photographer Julie Vader will take high-resolution action pictures of your happy, wet doggies as they have fun. The photos will be available the next day online and can be downloaded for as little as $10 for a social-media size copy, with higher prices for larger digital sizes and prints. Julie will donate half of the purchase price for each photo ordered to the Parks Foundation!
Visitors are reminded that the Swimming Lagoon is free of blue-green algae, which has been present at the Russian River. The lagoon is slightly chlorinated and filtered to ensure safe water for the dogs.
This event is sponsored by the Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation, which requests donations of $5 per dog for Regional Parks’ members and $7 per dog for non-members. All proceeds benefit the Foundation, which supports Regional Parks’ programs and operations.
