East Bay SPCA 2017

Love big dogs? Meet Poot, a beautiful girl with a big smile and a big heart. At 2 years old, this Great Dane/pit mix has a mellow, affectionate personality. She's great at dog parks, not being one to push others around just because she's big. But what she really likes is snuggling at your feet (she's a lap dog at heart, but probably won't fit…), hanging out with you, and sharing whatever fun outings you have in mind.

Poot's just one of the many dogs currently enjoying the hospitality of the East Bay SPCA. They've been saving the lives of the East Bay's critters in need since 1874, and also offer the area's pet owners a raft of support and educational resources, from veterinary services and training classes to school programs and animal camps. Adoption centers are located in Oakland and Dublin.

On Saturday, July 15, East Bay SPCA hosts its annual Adopt-a-thon at Jack London Square—and whether you're looking to adopt or just meet and greet a whole lot of darling dogs, this is the place you want to be. East Bay SPCA has gathered more than 30 local shelters and rescues to take part in this epic event, with over 300 adoptable animals on hand hoping to meet their forever families. Come enjoy the bayside view and meet your new best friend!
