Meet Mel. Her DNA test says she's Staffie, bulldog, and… soft coated wheaten terrier. Her friends at Mendocino Coast Humane Society say she's a real people dog, with such a great range of facial expressions they're always taking pictures of her. Mel gets along great with everyone she meets, human and canine, but does think chasing cats is fun. She's very eager to please her person and learn new things. She's big, happy, and still has a lot of puppy energy, so her perfect family will provide her with lots of exercise and fun activities, as well as continued training. She loves walks. She loves swimming. She loves fetch.
And also, if she's the one for you, you can spend more on those fun things because her adoption fee is sponsored!
Mel's just one of the excellent dogs currently enjoying the hospitality of MCHS, which has been hard at work providing a safe haven for the Mendocino Coast's critters in need for two decades in its comfortable no-kill adoption facility, as well as offering spay-neuter services, training, and other resources to local families. Taking in hundreds of animals each year, MCHS is able to help them, including those with medical and other challenges, thanks to the generosity of its supporters and donors.
