Get your tails to San Francisco – June 6 has officially been proclaimed “Adopt a Senior Pet Day.” Muttville Senior Dog Rescue is the inspiration for this holiday; founded in 2007, Muttville advocates for senior and special need dogs to help find their forever homes. Muttville has grown substantially and rescues about 1,100 senior dogs a year.
Seventy senior dogs will be up for adoption. Get there between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on June 6 or 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on June 8 and receive the early bird special, with discounted adoption fees.
“All of us at Muttville are honored to receive this special proclamation,” says Sherri Franklin, founder of Muttville. “San Francisco is traditionally a place where the undervalued find love – and that’s what Muttville is all about.”
