Tri-Valley Animal Rescue 2019

Little Poco has had quite a lot to deal with lately. When this scruffy, sweet terrier mix was 6, his elderly owners surrendered him to the East County Animal Shelter in Dublin because they could no longer care for him.

It was true, too, because the poor guy was emaciated and had quite a few deferred medical issues, including seriously dire teeth.

Sad as all this was, though, Poco's luck was about to change, thanks to some diligent volunteers from Tri-Valley Animal Rescue, which has been working with area shelters since 1992 to save the lives of critters who land there by providing foster homes, medical attention, socialization — and when they're ready, getting them into new, loving homes.

After getting back to a healthy body weight, Poco got much-needed dental treatment and is doing much better following the extraction of 18 horrid teeth. Throughout it all, he's impressed his foster and friends with his sweet, loving nature. He's a gentle fellow who gets along nicely with adults, kids, and other dogs, and is hoping to settle in with people who love him. Soonest. Want to know more? Get in touch.
