If you’re passionate about animals, there are few things as horrifying as the idea of a pet being shot with a gun. Unfortunately, that’s what happened to Robin, a 10-month-old German Shepherd mix.
Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation rescued Robin from a public shelter, knowing their resources and expertise would go a long way in nursing her back to health and happiness. After finding that she didn’t have any residual metal in her back, Robin was placed on medications to aid her recovery. She was also set up on a socialization plan, in case she regressed into fear due to her experiences.
Luckily, that never happened. No matter what life threw at her, Robin never let it break her stride. And the team at ARF is taking a page out of her book!
Animals on Broadway is one of ARF’s most critical annual fundraisers, and due to COVID-19 it’s being hosted virtually on May 17 for the first time in 20 years! The event may look different this year, but that doesn’t change the impact you can have on the animals in need.
