DogTrekker has long supported nearly 300 Napa Valley dog-friendly hotels, restaurants, wineries, attractions and local services. As part of our mission to provide local and accurate listings, engaging travel content and support for animal welfare organizations, we have also featured a number of Napa Valley adoption, rescue and shelter services, all that need financial assistance.
This year we are pleased to recommend CanDo's Napa Valley Give!Guide 2020 that supports a culture of year-end giving. This guide raises awareness of 57 local non-profits, both animal welfare related and community focused organizations. Over 2.3 million dollars has been raised through the guide in the past seven years by providing easy one-stop giving to these groups.

Waggin’ Trails: We rescue companion animals from overcrowded California shelters and abandonment situations. Then, we find them loving forever homes through local placement and through partnerships with like-minded rescue organizations, humane societies and no-kill shelters. Learn More & Donate.
Friends of Napa County Animal Shelter: We assist the Napa County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center with pet adoptions and lifetime care, including providing medical assistance, promoting volunteer opportunities, and offering community education so families and their pets can stay together. Napa CART: Napa Community Animal Response Team (CART) is a volunteer-led, nonprofit organization that works in cooperation with local agencies to ensure the best possible outcome for animals in Napa County that need assistance during an emergency, accident, or disaster. Learn More & Donate.

Canine Guardians We empower PTSD/disabled veterans and people with illnesses/disabilities to live a more independent life by pairing them with a trained service dog.
