Bark in the Park San Jose 2012 is almost here and DogTrekker is looking forward to another paw-tastic day on William Street in downtown San Jose. Last year's event was pretty spectacular (see what we thought here) and we are guessing this year’s event will be another crowd pleaser. On Saturday uprights and their dogs will gather from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown San Jose for the largest dog festival in the United States.
With over 3,500 dogs and 15,000 humans expected, this family oriented event is chalk full of activities for two and four-legged attendees alike. There will be contests, music, food and beverages along with demonstrations, dog-related vendors (DogTrekker will be manning our booth) and lots of dogs! Want to plan your day? The contests will be held at the Bark in the Park San Jose main stage and are scheduled as follows:
Dog Costumes: 11 a.m.
Silly Dog Tricks: 12 p.m.
Pet/Owner Look Alike: 1 p.m.
Happy Dog Tail Wagging: 2 p.m.
In addition to all the fun contests, ongoing activities such as Dancing Dogs, Dog Water Park, Free Dog Agility Contest, Rabies Vaccinations (don’t tell your pooch), Herding Demonstrations, Grooming and more will keep everyone entertained throughout the day. We had an awesome time last year and can’t wait to put our paws to the park again.
The Naglee Park neighborhood ‘s Campus Community Association is hosting the event and admission is free but a $5 donation per dog is encouraged. Benefits raised from Bark in the Park go to the Campus Community Association, Humane Society Silicon Valley and San Jose Animal Care Center. See you Saturday at Bark in the Park!
