The Bay Area Pet Fair and Adoptathon 2013, held last weekend at the Marin Center, was a fabulous success. DogTrekker.com was on hand both days and witnessed 40 dogs being given a new life with new families at the Rocket Dog Rescue center next to our booth.
“We are on track to reach our goal of 600 adoptions,” said Mike Murray, Director of Community Outreach for Pet Food Express. While a final count is not yet available, Murray said that 253 animals found homes on Saturday.
In addition to the adoptions taking place throughout the venue, there were Splash Dog events, stunt dog shows, Bay Area K-9’s demonstrating crime-busting skills, My Mutt pet shows and over a 100 local vendors featuring the latest in pet supplies.
This annual free family and pet event underwritten and sponsored by Pet Food Express has become the largest pet adoption fair in Marin County history. DogTrekker.com was excited to be a part of this great event and look forward to Bay Area Pet Fair 2014.
