Coronavirus Update: California & Dogs

The executive order issued last week by California Gov. Gavin Newsom called for the state's nearly 40 million residents to stay home, with exceptions for essential service businesses and employees. The order did allow residents to exercise, including with their dogs, as long as they practiced social distancing by observing a 6-foot space buffer from others. You can also go to the vet or pet hospital if your pet is sick.

This last weekend saw so many crowded beaches, hiking trails and parks across California that officials statewide have shutting many down. While DogTrekker continues to keep an up-to-date look at what is open and and what is not near you, we also urge you to do all you can to keep yourself, your family, your pets, and community healthy and safe. We are all in this together and we will all get through this together.
