DogTrekker Says Vote Yes on Measure A

Yes on Measure A

Last week’s DogTrekker newsletter and this week’s home page celebrated the wonderful access we and our furry friends have to open space in and around Marin County. Now 40 years old, Marin County Parks and Open Space are showing some wear and tear. DogTrekker votes Yes! on Measure A, which  the Marin County Supervisors placed on the November 6th ballot to address this issue after an extensive public process.

Measure A is a ¼ cent; 9-year local sales tax measure to fund parks, open space and farmland preservation. Its fiscal accountability provisions include annual independent financial audits and reporting, as well as a citizen oversight committee.

Without this funding, deferred and future maintenance, rangers and staff, restoration, preservation of natural lands, acquisition and development of additional open space and supervision of the some 2,000 volunteers would all be at risk.

DogTrekker invites you to check out the details of this important initiative and check Yes on Measure A on November 6th. Thanks.
