Come celebrate the Grand Opening of El Dorado County’s fabulous new Hacienda Dog Park in Cameron Park on Saturday, April 12. Thanks to the heroic efforts of the El Dorado Dog Owners Guild (EDDOG.com) and the Cameron Park Community Services District (CPCSD), the county’s first off-leash dog park is a reality.
“What a beautiful place for "mans best friend" to play,” says a recent park visitor on Yelp. “Set among majestic oak trees this place is a wonderful testimony to community spirit and fortitude. This park will bring doggies and their owners many years of joy.”
The park opened in mid-November and was the first off-leash dog park in the county. But it won’t be the last. Thanks to the efforts of EDDOG and a host of community members, a second, larger dog park is slated to open in El Dorado Hills later this year. Stay tuned, DogTrekker will keep you posted on the opening date of this latest and greatest dog park.
On April 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., bring your dog(s) and stroll through the beautiful new park. Enjoy fun activities, learn doggie park etiquette, take a lunch break with a choice of food vendors, visit with an array of dog care vendors and help us thank all whose contributions have created this wonderful space.
Hacienda Dog Park has reached a significant milestone, but they still need water fountains, waste stations & benches., and you can help! Purchase a memorial brick to commemorate a canine companion and make your mark on the park! For more information email EDDOGdogpark@gmail.com.
