Mutual Rescue Book & Film

Patrick & Grace - Mutual Rescue

A young competitive athlete suffers a debilitating and unexpected stroke that leaves him helpless and facing a long road to recovery. A young dog, abandoned and abused, is navigating an uncertain future. Two individuals, both dealing with obstacles they never anticipated.

Together, they make each other stronger.

The premise is the basis of the new short film titled Patrick & Grace by Mutual Rescue, that will be released on April 9. The release of the film will coincide with the release of Mutual Rescue: How Adopting A Homeless Animal Can Save You, Too, a book by Mutual Rescue’s president and founder, Carol Novello. The book combines science and anecdote to prove what many owners of rescued pets know already: they save us as much as we save them.

Both the book and the film will forever change how you view your relationship with your pet.

For more information about the book, go to mutualrescue.org/book. People who pre-order the book through their website prior to April 9 will get exclusive early access to Patrick & Grace as well as three other unreleased Mutual Rescue films. In addition, ten percent of the purchase price will be donated to local shelters across the country and you’ll receive 99 Ways to Bond With Your Pet, a free digital guide.

“I’ll never be the athlete I was before, but Grace has changed my definition of strength. I feel like we're stronger than we’ve ever been before.” – Patrick Donovan
