It’s February and that means love is in the air; what are you doing to celebrate? If you are looking for a dog-friendly party look no further then the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society’s free community celebration, Tails from the Heart. That’s right, on Sunday February 10 you and your four-legged valentine can head over to the BEBHS Shelter Warehouse on Carleton Street for a celebration of the best kind of love—unconditional.
Enjoy live music, dog tricks and training tips, street-fare food and tons of activities for you and your pooch. Share the love by making a Valentine’s Day card for shelter animals, or maybe try your hand at a DIY toy at the dog and cat toy-making booth. A professional photographer will be on hand to snap pics of you and your pet, and you can always stop by the “smooch the pooch” booth for a lick on the cheek.
Valentine’s Day is all about love and so is the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society. Since 1927 BEBHS has placed over 45,000 homeless animals into new homes and made sure that countless others have access to the services they need. If you can’t join us in person at Tails from the Heart, you can still spread the love by making a donation to BEBHS. All animals deserve unconditional love and you can help them get it!
