Northern California Family Dog Rescue

Snickers

Angela Padilla started Northern California Family Dog Rescue last year after working for a while with another San Francisco rescue and growing frustrated at the plight of local families who, all too often, were refused an otherwise perfect dog because they had children. It was a common tale in the city, and Padilla thought dogs and families belonged together. So when she started rescuing dogs from shelters around the state and finding fosters and homes in Northern California, that became her focus.

This is the Bay Area, so "family" might include several human generations, or maybe several species under one roof. No worries, Family Dog Rescue matches diverse dogs with families where they'll be right at home. See their dogs on their website or their Facebook page.
